Programs and Services
Gulf Coast State College offers a range of programs and services that are open to the community. These partnerships provide opportunities for our students to engage with the community.
The Millaway Institute for Entrepreneurship (MIE) supports our community of innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs—engaging students, faculty and staff—as they explore the transformation of ideas into commercial products, services and companies. The Millaway Institute for Entrepreneurship (MIE) may be able to help you with your invention or product. You can prototype your ideas and designs with the FabLab’s 3D printers and high-end fabrication equipment inside Gulf Coast State College’s Advanced Technology Center in Panama City, Florida. While we may not be able to help everyone, we do focus on those ideas that engage our students and contain the potential to create local jobs.
The Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) Program is designed by the Small Business Administration to provide entrepreneurial development services such as business training, counseling and referrals for eligible veterans, active duty military, National Guard and Reserve members, military spouses owning or considering starting a small business. The SBA has 22 VBOC programs participating in this cooperative agreement and serving as Veterans Business Outreach Centers. The VBOC at Gulf Coast State College provides these services to veterans throughout Florida.
Gulf Coast State College offers a wide array of academic enrichment camps and activities for youth in Bay, Gulf and Franklin counties throughout the year. The majority of these activities are offered during the summer, with other activities being offered on selected days throughout the school year. Camps and activities are designed for youth who are excited about the opportunity to learn, have fun and participate in challenging hands-on activities using the latest technology.
