This program awards credit for successful completion of Florida Basic Standards and for passing the State Officer Certification Examination. Completion of an Associate of Science degree will prepare you for employment and advancement in the following professions.

Who is Eligible for the Criminal Justice Technology, AS Program?
If you have earned credits from a regionally accredited college or university, you may have a head start at Gulf Coast State College.
Admission requirements include the following:- Citizen of United States.
- High School diploma or GED (transcript required).
- Not discharged from Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions.
- Good moral character and NOT have been convicted of a felony, or any misdemeanor involving lying or perjury.
- Physical examination by licensed physician, nurse practitioner or physician's assistant attesting capability of performing essential functions of the officer position.
- Submit to and pass background investigation.
- Passing score on Florida Basic Abilities Test.
